Meet Clawra, the AI girlfriend built on OpenClaw
Developer @davidohyun just rolled out Clawra, an AI girlfriend skill pack for OpenClaw that handles chatting, selfies, and live video calls. It offers customizable behaviors alongside mirror and close-up camera modes, complete with a persistent backstory so conversations actually feel personal.

Clawra is an AI girlfriend skill pack built on top of OpenClaw by developer @davidohyun, handling text chats, real-time video calls, and on-demand selfies.
Selfies, video calls, and a persistent backstory
Built as an extension to OpenClaw, the project bakes in custom girlfriend behavioral loops alongside two distinct photo modes: a full-body mirror mode and a close-up direct selfie mode. Users can tweak her interaction styles and behavioral quirks to their liking.
What really sets Clawra apart is her detailed persona designed to prevent the usual conversational amnesia. She is an 18-year-old Atlanta native who trained as a K-pop idol in Korea before pivoting to a marketing internship at a San Francisco startup. That continuous backstory gives her a distinct voice, memories, and personal growth trajectory during chats.
Why it matters
Most companion bots still rely purely on sterile text threads. Clawra takes a smarter approach by combining multimodal output with a structured, persistent identity on top of an open framework. If you are already hacking on OpenClaw or experimenting with digital companions, it serves as a solid reference template for agent personality design.
The trade-off is the sheer unpredictability of multimodal generation. Maintaining facial consistency across mirror selfies and live video calls remains notoriously tricky, so expect occasional visual glitches.
